This is the question every parent carries. A-Level is the gateway to university — to the degree, the career, the life your child has worked toward. We exist to answer that question with evidence, with transparency, and with a method that outperforms traditional tutoring.
This page is written for you — not for students. It takes approximately eight minutes to read. We recommend reading it entirely before making a decision.
Before explaining what we do, we want to name what we know you are thinking. These are the four concerns we hear from parents before they start — and the honest answer to each.
We hear this frequently. A good tutor knows the subject. A great tutor knows the examiner. The gap between subject knowledge and examination performance is real — and it is the gap we specialise in. Our workshops are built from official examiner reports, not textbooks. If tutoring has not moved the grade, the missing element is likely examiner intelligence, not subject content.
This is the most common concern — and the most important to address. Our cohorts are capped at 15 students. This is a principle, not a guideline. Every facilitator knows every student's name and their specific weaknesses by the second session. The peer comparison does not replace individual attention — it multiplies it. Your child's approach is evaluated against fifteen others, not just against a model answer.
We take this more seriously than any competitor in this market. We have a named Designated Safeguarding Lead. All facilitators are DBS-checked (Enhanced clearance) before their first session. All sessions are recorded. No private messaging between facilitators and students is permitted. Our full safeguarding architecture is available for your review — it is not buried in terms and conditions.
A private A-Level tutor in the UK charges £400–800 per month at current market rates. Exam Mastery International is half that cost and, according to peer learning research, delivers better examination outcomes. The relevant question is not whether £199 is expensive. It is whether the A-Level grade justifies the investment. For a student targeting a Russell Group university, the answer is unambiguous.
Peer learning's advantages over solitary or 1-1 instruction are well established in educational psychology research — students who discuss methods, compare approaches, and explain their reasoning to peers retain more and perform better under exam conditions than those who don't. Our workshop structure is built directly on this evidence, combined with examiner-informed exam technique specific to your child's board and paper.

After each A-Level examination series, the chief examiner publishes a detailed report. It explains exactly where students lost marks, which command words were misread, which methods were penalised, and what would have earned full marks.
Almost no private tutoring service reads this report. We build every workshop from it.
That is not a marginal improvement over tutoring. It is a categorically different preparation approach. And the grade improvement data above reflects the difference.

You are trusting us with your child's academic future — and with their safety in an online environment. We do not take that lightly. Our safeguarding architecture is comprehensive and transparent. We are happy to discuss it directly.
A named Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is responsible for all safeguarding concerns. Available directly via email and WhatsApp. Not an anonymous policy — a named, trained individual.
All facilitators hold Enhanced DBS clearance before their first session. Clearance is verified and recorded. No facilitator works with students without confirmed clearance.
Every workshop is recorded. Recordings are retained for a minimum of 90 days. Any concern about conduct in a session can be reviewed immediately.
Facilitators are prohibited from private messaging with students outside the Discord community channels. All moderation is in monitored, channel-based environments.
A published Online Conduct Policy governs all behaviour on Wise.live, Discord, and WhatsApp. Every student and facilitator acknowledges this policy before joining.
A dedicated reporting page is available at all times. Any concern — from students, parents, or facilitators — is acknowledged within 2 hours and investigated formally.
Beyond exam mastery, we offer Oxbridge interview preparation, personal statement coaching, and UCAS application support for enrolled students targeting top UK universities. Available as an optional add-on.
